Old is new again with Thomas Paul's latest Luddite Collection. The word Luddite refers to a movement in the early 19th-century by a group of British textile artists who protested the changes being brought to their industry by the Industrial Revolution. As part of their rebellion they often destroyed mechanical looms and other machinery they felt were replacing their work. Today, the word has come to mean someone who is against technology and prefers to do things the old fashioned way. As an homage, the items in this collection are inspired by the idea of turning back the clock and focusing on a simpler way of living.
